Yes, today is exactly 90 days since I arrived in the Kingdom. The days has gone shorter and cooler but they said its going to get colder. At night, it even colder and lonelier. That my friends, is the price you have to pay when you leave your wife and kids to go to some foreign country for a job with a hefty pay!
Weekend is just around the corner. Once again, you can have a reason to sleep late, which does not make any sense because you have to get up early anyway,(at about 4:30 am) for your solah subuh! But then again, when Isyak is 6:30 pm, 10:00 pm seems to be very, very late! Remember, there are no late night establishment here, so it will be pointless to stay up late unless you're a ZOMBIE!
Weekends in Jubail always mean fiesta. Suddenly a little Arabian town become "Little Mumbai". You see, almost 70 to 80 percent of workforce here come from South Asia. Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and other Himalayan nations come to the Kingdom in search for a better pay - just like me. They stay in out of town camps and come to town once a week to replenish their supply and to paint the town red. So, please, put on your rain coat if you have to go to town center on a weekend, or you'll comeback with "spitting" heads!
On that note, I decided to stay a home!
