Aris called me one morning and invited me to go to a picnic. Yes, a picnic, complete with a beach, foods, friends and all the things that makes a picnic, a picnic! It seems eons since I had my last picnic. It was a perfect day for a picnic, bright and sunny with clear blue sky and of course the sea breeze… ah yes, the super cold sea breeze! In Malaysia, we normally sit under the shade to escape the piercing heat of the sun. Here in KSA, typically a desert country, I struggled to keep warm under the shade. We actually had to soak ourselves in the sun so we won’t freeze to death!

Under the shade...cold!

Under the sun...warm!
