Career Summary

Graduated in 1989 from Ohio University with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). My career in engineering began in 1990. I started out as an apprentice Production Engineer at Motorola Malaysia. From there, I continue to work with various industries, which include heavy industry, chemicals and petrochemical industries all over Malaysia. In 2008, I decided to go global, I accepted a job offer outside Malaysia. Currently, I hold a post of Senior Instrument Engineer in a multinational petrochemical organisation known as Saudi International Petrochemical Company (SIPCHEM) which is based in Jubail Industrial City, Eastern Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Working with other multinational engineers in various disciplines at SIPCHEM Engineering Center, the center provides technical support and consultation services to Operation and Maintenance Group in areas such as equipment selection, basic control concept, maintenance technology, engineering calculations, plant modifications, capital projects, major turn around planning and other engineering services. Most of my experiences come from areas such as production, plant maintenance, project management, front-end engineering design (FEED), field installation, commissioning and start-up. I also involved in projects, either small plant modifications or medium to large-scale capital projects.

With all the experiences I also gained valuable skills such as process control systems, system integration, Distributed Control Systems (DCS) / Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) configuration, maintenance technology, project management and other necessary skills in computer applications, plant reliability and financial tools.
